Scenic beauty and an urban environment meld together perfectly in the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail at Lady Bird Lake, a 10-mile trail that skirts some of the best terrain the city has to offer. On your journey, you'll pass canoes and kayaks, turtles and birds, lookout points and soaring skyscrapers — the sights and sounds will keep you thoroughly engaged while you pound the pavement or pedal by. Also keep a lookout for bronze belts scattered along the railings of the boardwalk; each one sports lyrics from Texas singers and songwriters.

Making Waves

One look at Lady Bird Lake, and you're bound to want to get out on the recreation-friendly waters. Not only will you get a cool perspective of the city from out here, but you'll get a workout in, too. Head over to our friends at the Rowing Dock and they'll get you set-up with a canoe, kayak, or stand up paddleboard (SUP).
