A wheely good time
More than 180 sports cars will hit the track during the Lone Star Le Mans, part of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. In addition to must-watch racing at Austin’s Circuit of the Americas, a 20-turn track with a 133-foot hill, the Grand Plaza atmosphere is firing on all cylinders. On May 4-6, activities include armadillo racing, mechanical bull riding, and a quick-draw shooting simulator. Grab a bite to eat and wander through the open paddock, where you can get up close to the tents and garages where the teams prep their cars.
- Circuit of the Americas is a huge venue that sits on 890 acres, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Pack sunscreen; the sun is bright out here.
- Learn more about the venue by taking a guided tour on Saturday or Sunday.
- Download the Circuit of the Americas app for iPhone or Android for the most up-to-date schedule throughout the event, including when drivers will be available for autographs.

Drinking and Dining
Before you head to the races, fuel up at Geraldine’s with a breakfast favorite like short rib quesadillas or sourdough waffles. When you’re back, grab a cocktail in the bar or sit down to dinner against a backdrop of live music.
