Welcome to Geraldine's
Before Geraldine’s became a destination for modern Mexican cuisine, craft cocktails, and live music, Rainey Street had another local icon: Geraldine the guinea fowl. Fearlessly roaming the neighborhood with unmistakable personality, she became a beloved symbol of the street’s independent spirit. When Geraldine’s opened in 2015, naming the restaurant after her honored both a memorable character and the vibrant community that helped define one of Austin’s most distinctive neighborhoods.
That same spirit continues to shape every detail of the Geraldine’s experience. Led by Executive Chef Sergio Ledesma, the kitchen explores modern Mexican cuisine through the lens of regional traditions, seasonal Texas ingredients, and the agricultural richness of the surrounding region. Each menu reflects a respect for heritage while embracing creativity, highlighting thoughtful technique, vibrant flavors, and a deep connection to place.
Hospitality is at the heart of every service. Whether gathering for weekend brunch, settling in for dinner, sharing agave-forward cocktails at the bar, or lingering through an evening of live music, guests are welcomed with genuine warmth, attentive service, and an atmosphere that feels unmistakably Austin. Every meal is an opportunity to celebrate connection between people, culture, cuisine, and the city itself.
Rooted in the energy of Rainey Street and inspired by Austin’s creative spirit, Geraldine’s is a restaurant where exceptional food, meaningful hospitality, and memorable moments come together around the table.
