General Information

Check-in time at Hotel Van Zandt is at 4:00 pm and check-out time is at 11:00 am. Accommodations for early check-in or late check-out can be made based on availability.

Upon arrival, all guests will need a credit card and a valid form of ID in order to check-in.

There is no charge for cancellations made at least 2 days (48 hours) prior to your reservation date. A fee of one night’s room and tax applies for cancellations made less than 2 days (48 hours) prior to your reservation date. Please note, some reservation bookings may have different cancellation penalties. Please review your confirmation or itinerary for more details. Reservations must be canceled by 6:00 p.m. local hotel time.

If you made your reservation through a third party (Expedia, Booking.com, HotelTonight, etc.) you will need to contact the booking agent/website that you went through in order to make any changes. If you booked through Hotel Van Zandt’s website or made your reservation by calling the hotel, please contact a reservations agent at [email protected].

Yes, the minimum age for check-in is 18-years-old.

The Hotel Van Zandt is a 100% non-smoking hotel. There are no smoking rooms available at the hotel.

Some rooms can accommodate rollaway beds, with an additional fee of $25 per night.

Hotel Van Zandt appreciates individuals who serve our country, and we’d love to have the honor of serving you. In recognition of our military and government travelers, we are proud to offer per diem rates to these individuals. When booking, use the promo code GOVT to access our rates.

Please note, proof of valid government ID is required at check-in to qualify or the Best Flexible Rate will be applied.

Parking & Transportation

Hotel Van Zandt provides valet parking. Self-parking is not available. Pricing for valet parking is as follows:

  • Overnight: $59 + tax
  • Hourly:
    • 0-3: $30 + tax
    • 3-6: $40 + tax
    • 6+: $59 + tax

Please note, there is a $25 charge for charging electric vehicles overnight.

Guests who are dining at Geraldine’s can valet for $14 for up to 3 hours. After 3 hours, standard hourly rates apply.

Due to garage restrictions, we are unable to park the following: vehicles exceeding clearance of 6’ 9”, vehicles with trailers, dually trucks, three-wheeled vehicles, vehicles with large bike racks, or storage attachments. Please note, all Jeeps must have their roof on in order to be valeted.

No, but the Front Desk can assist with finding an approved service.

Yes, pets are accepted! There are no weight, height or type restrictions. All guests must sign a release form upon check-in.

The hotel does have allergen-free rooms, please note this request during the reservation process.

Hotel Amenities

The Guest Amenity Fee is $29.95 per night plus tax and includes the following perks:

  • Welcome beverages at check-in.
  • Complimentary social hour daily from 5p – 6p featuring housemade margaritas, local beer, and wine.
  • Daily $10 food and beverage credit to be used at Geraldine’s, The Pool Deck, Café 605, minibar, or In-Room Dining.
  • 24-hour access to the fitness center, Pelotons, and any wellness classes offered during your stay.
  • Printing services.
  • Use of our TREK Bikes, based on availability. Please see the front desk to reserve them.
  • Unlimited calls during your stay.
  • Upgraded Wi-Fi throughout public spaces and guestrooms for up to five devices.

Yes! In-room dining is available daily. Breakfast from Café 605 is available from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m., a limited menu is available from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Geraldine’s full dinner menu is available from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Please note, there is a $5 delivery fee plus a 24% service charge. Yes, we have a heated, all-season pool surrounded by an urban oasis with shaded cabanas letting you soak up the scene. At night, glowing fire elements bring a camp-firey intimacy and temperature-controlled comfort to the whole scene. It all makes for a real downtown Austin retreat.

Yes. The hotel does charge an early departure fee of up to one night’s room and tax for departing the hotel early.

Accounting

We require a credit card to guarantee a reservation, however, payment by traveler check or credit/debit card upon departure is allowed. Please note the hotel does not accept cash or check payments at this time. Debit card users please note that when presenting your debit card upon check-in, our computer system holds an amount on your account equal to the amount of room, taxes, and an estimated $100 per night authorization on your bank account immediately. Any amount not used upon departure will be credited back to your bank account and may take several days to appear on your balance. (Times vary due to processing of our computer system transaction being accepted by your individual bank).
